How to host an event.
We are excited you are hosting a National Navajo Code Talkers Day event in your local community. The best events are created by your ideas, but to get you started, we have listed some ideas below. We can't wait to support your event honoring our great heroes.
Places to celebrate in your community:
Locate a local private venue and invite your community to attend
Visit with your local officials about hosting the event at a park or city venue
Work with a local school, college, or military reserve unit
Host a motorcycle ride
Ways to celebrate in your community:
Invite friends, family, and your local youth to have a 'sign & banner' party
Work with us to create a live stream of the National Event
Post and live stream your local event
Invite local veterans to a parade or lunch
We will be making updates to this page over the next few weeks.
We encourage you to contact your local newspapers and news media to cover your event. Please use this media kit to assist you in communicating.
Posters & Signs
A fun and creative way to recognize Code Talkers is to create signs, flyers, and banners you can place around your community. Asking local stores to hang signs in their window-front about your event will create a buzz and increase attendance.
